I stopped by Café Momentum this afternoon to scope out the progress. The restaurant, located at 1510 Pacific Avenue, is coming along. Sure, the floors are lined in brown protection paper, and workers can been seen scurrying around, climbing ladders, and drilling holes, but overall the space is close to finished. The 85-seat dining room will host a series of friends and family dinners over the next couple of weeks, and officially opens to the public on Thursday, January 29.

While I was there, poking my head around, Chad Houser announced that chef Sarah Green (previously of Oak) is joining the team as their pastry chef. There’s a lot to look forward to.

Café Momentum will be open for dinner service Thursday through Saturday only, with the occasional “pop-in” dinners (like a pop-up dinner, except in the Café Momentum space). Keep an eye on SideDish for more details to come.
