Tom Landis, owner of Texadelphia, has a big heart. Landis has always been good to his employees. He offers them English lessons and hosts holiday parties for them. The first employee he hired is still with him, and much of his crew has been on staff for 10-12 years. Each year he hosts a Christmas party. “I always try to think of how to thank them for another year of their lives,” Landis says. “How does one properly thank a man for 18 years of his life?  Eighteen Christmas Eve’s we battle the lunch rush, clean the grill, and shut down early. I can’t figure out how to thank them enough.”

One of his employees, Maria, is battling cancer. “A customer anonymously just gave Maria $500.00 to fight and beat cancer,” Landis says. “Last night we threw a party for employee’s kiddos. And customers have given Maria thousands of dollars to help her fight cancer. One customer donated 25 gifts to the kids. I love this business.”
