TnT Tacos and Tequila quietly opened yesterday at The Quadrangle in Uptown. The sister restaurant to Blue Mesa Grill got its start in Austin more than four years ago, and has since opened a location in San Antonio and now Dallas.
The mix-and-match menu offers a variety of tacos including seared ahi tuna, rojo shrimp, chimichurri beef tenderloin, breakfast tacos (which are served all day) and corn crusted chicken. There’s also a selection of appetizers, sides, specialty platters and desserts.
The bar is shaking up tequila-centric cocktails, they have more than 105 tequilas to choose from, four of which are on draft. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. (food specials end at 6:30 p.m.) and includes $4 house margaritas, wells and wines. I have a feeling that the real draw is going to be their weekend mimosa brunch, though. On Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. guests can gorge on the all-you-can-eat spread that includes everything from huevos rancheros and migas to eggs Benedict and Belgian waffles. There’s even a carved-to-order brisket station.
The spacious rooftop patio, which is equipped with its own bar, turns into its own separate party from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday with a DJ, small bites and plenty of tequila.
