The annual Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas Buddy Walk is taking place this Sunday, November 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at AT&T Victory Plaza. The purpose of the walk is to help promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The Buddy Walk is a national event with more than 275 walks nationwide. Dallas’ Buddy Walk has grown from a few hundred people to over 10,000 estimated for this coming Sunday. Food trucks participating include: Easy Slider, Enticed Shaved Ice, Gandolfo’s, Nammi, Ruthie’s Grilled Cheese, The Butcher’s Son, Texas Burrito Company, Trailer Cakes, What’s da Scoop?, Bombay Street Food, Flatlanders Taco Company, Food Station by D Cares, Not Just Q., Eat Jo Dawgs, and Yim Yam Food Truck.
Other events this week include Tasty Tuesdays at the Sprouts on Marsh Lane, as well as the usual Wednesday at Sigel’s Greenville. Here’s your schedule for the week. Be sure to check social media before venturing out.
