In April, Kenny Bowers announced he was going to open his fifth restaurant, and second location of Kenny’s Burger Joint in Plano’s LakeSide Market. It is now open.
Kenny’s Burger Joint joins Sea Breeze, Breadwinners, Japon Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, Ziziki’s, Mi Cocina, Mignon, Taverna Rossa, and Texadelphia in the center located at Preston Road and Spring Creek (yes, the corner with the fountain.)
Bowers, and his partners Bob Stegall and Mike Hutchinson opened the first Kenny’s Burger Joint in Frisco five years ago. Expect the same wood-grilled burgers, sandwiches, salads, and full bar in Plano. Oh, and the ginormous The El Jefe Grande, a seven-pound, 7,000-calorie burger with 48 ounces of beef and eight ounces of bacon plus toppings. It’s free if you eat it in an hour.
