On Tuesday, September 16, Komali is celebrating Mexican Independence Day with a tequila tasting and street food grilled outside by chef Julio Peraza. The event costs $30 per person, which includes an entry cocktail, the tequila, and the street food. Bar manager Leann Berry is crafting the cocktails and pouring the Casa Noble tequila flights. Chef Pyles at San Salvaje plans to celebrate the holiday with a special menu. It features Pozole Rojo Stew with Pork Chicharrones and Radishes, Chiles en Nogada with Walnut Sauce and Pomegranates, and Churros with a trio of dipping sauces for dessert.
