If you’re tired of the constant World Cup coverage, we understand. Here are some food events this weekend to dig your fork into without the constant soccer chaos (though I’m sure you can still catch a glimpse of the games if you wish). Tiki Week events, prix fixe dinners and a date night are on the schedule.

Friday June 27th
Cook Hall of the W Hotel continues its monthly beer dinners Friday, featuring O’Dell Brewery and a five-course meal inspired by surf and turf dishes to highlight the buzz-worthy notes of each brew. This communal event invites guests to raise their glasses to local beer, pick off each other’s plates and get a little tipsy with the stranger beside them. Pushing tables together, Cook Hall encourages community members to come together as old friends and learn the craft behind O’Dell’s craft beer. Tickets are $55 and the event starts at 7 pm. Call 214-397-4111 for reservations.

Saturday June 28th
Ladies rejoice, because Cane Rosso and Glamour Magazine are teaming up to make you rediscover the art of wooing. Not sure what that means? #GlamourDateNight aims to inspire women to bring back the date by partnering with restaurant and retail store nationwide to offer food deals and fashion discounts. So, women (or men) of Dallas: find yourself a good-looking date and enjoy a Neapolitan pizza, salad and mini-carafe of wine for $30 at all Cane Rosso locations. Even if the chemistry doesn’t match up, the food should fill your stomach with butterflies.

Hop on board the Tiki Tour Bus to celebrate a very underrated holiday. Savor cocktails at Bolsa, Sunset Lounge, HG Sply Co., Libertine Bar and The Blind Butcher as well as special drinks from the bartender inside the luxury bus. Stock up on snacks at Bolsa and use their Uber promo code (to be available on the NTUSBG Facebook page) to get home, because this will be one night to remember…or try to remember anyway. Tickets run $65 per person.

Sunday June 29th
In case you woke up with your hula skirt and coconut bra still on, or if you just want to keep the luau going, you can head to Barter, the close-out destination of Tiki Week. This Tiki Cowboy Brunch will feature High West and Brugal Rum, Western-Tiki cuisine and full-on tiki décor from Manager Rocco Milano. Brunch runs 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.
