julia-and-lee-fuqua3Julia and Lee Fuqua of Fuqua Winery, the tiny spot behind Home Depot on Lemmon, have decided to stop making wine and start distilling spirits. “We are converting over to a craft distillery,” Lee says. “After seven years of making ultra high quality wines in Dallas, we have decided that spirits are in our future.” They plan to start making vodka and move on to rum and gin. Whiskey will follow.

The name of the distillery hasn’t been decided. Perhaps we could toss them a few ideas.
