The Social House in Uptown‘s BackYard space soft opened March 6, and it’s essentially a big outdoor play pen for adults. Giant-size beer pongs, giant Jenga, Twister, and hula hoops make this the best non-kiddie playground in town. 100 taps + games? Yeah, we’re pretty much down.
This weekend, though, the fun gets a thousand times better with the addition of bubble soccer. If you haven’t heard of bubble soccer, which actually has leagues, believe it or not, you should really watch Jimmy Fallon play it with Colin Farrell, Chris Pratt, and Frank Knuckles in the video above. From the looks of it, this sport is all about them leg muscles.
The Social House in Uptown is introducing bubble soccer to its soccer field starting Friday, and an employee there assured me it’s not a tournament. Just first-come, first-serve. You don’t have to pay an extra fee to play, and there’s no ref to stop you from rolling into your teammates. It’ll be a pretty chill, free-for-all thing. If there’s no one on the field, bubble soccer is all yours.
I guess it’s time to start training.
