Bryan and Kathy Crelly, the husband and wife team behind Uncle Uber’s in Deep Ellum, are moving the Liberty Bank building from the corner of Cesar Chavez and Elm Streets to 600 S. Harwood, directly behind Ruibals nursery at the Dallas Farmers Market. Liberty Bank, built in the late 1800’s, was four different saloons before prohibition. Once it was a bank, speakeasy owners would paint their doors green to alert customers that they had the “goods.”

The Green Door Public House will be a freestanding restaurant with a 1,200-square foot patio. The menu will be burgers (grass fed ‘natch), steaks, and seafood and chalkboard specials showcasing the fresh ingredients of the Dallas Farmers Market. Look for the doors to open in early summer.
