As if we don’t eat like gluttons already, here are a few more excuses to get out of the house and try something new.

FRIDAY

Chamberlain’s Fish Market Grill will take you on a food and wine adventure through Italy during their “That’s Amore” fine wine dinner. It’s tonight at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy four courses and a “Salerno Sunset” reception of decadent Italian cuisine. $89.95 per person.

Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck will be celebrating the Chinese New Year every day ’til February 13 with an extravagant five-course dinner. $135 per person for the tasting menu or $185 with additional wine pairings

SATURDAY

Time to switch up your daily grind. By that, we mean your coffee grind. The Urban Homestead Series will be offering their second class on February 8 at 10 a.m., teaching you how to roast beans in a small home roaster, cast iron skillet, or even a popcorn popper. The workshop is taught by Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters’ Kevin and Marta Sprague. $20 per person.

ShopMieux just made your Saturday night much more fun at their Sip & Shop 1st birthday celebration, with cocktails, cupcakes, music by DJ K-Smash, a photobooth, and freebies. Guests will also be given a 20-percent discount off their entire purchase.

SUNDAY

Being vegan just got a little more exciting. Whole Foods at Park Lane is offering a vegan cake pop making class, Sunday, February 9. Class space is limited. It starts at 11 a.m.

When eating is a form of giving back, I’m all-ears. Sevy’s Grill is hosting Hillcrest High School’s 7th Annual Panther Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 9th from 9 a.m. to noon. Time to eat up and give back.
