Alright. It’s that time of the year again—when flowers, hearts, chocolates, and all that other ooey-gooey stuff that grinches like me try to pretend don’t exist. But they do.

The Dallas Arboretum

One of the most romantic places in Dallas now offers a delectable dining experience on the most loved holidays of the year. The Dallas Arboretum announces “Romance at the Arboretum,” an elegant candlelight dinner, on Friday, February 14 at the historic DeGolyer Estate Mansion at the garden. The evening begins with champagne, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6:30 p.m., followed by a music performance from the Southern Methodist University’s woodwind quintet in the DeGolyer Library. At 8:00 p.m., guests can enjoy a candlelight dinner that includes roasted pheasant with Madeira sauce finished off with bittersweet chocolate torte. Proceeds from the dinner benefit the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden programs.

Space for this intimate and elegant music and dining experience is limited. Valet parking is included, and cocktail attire is requested. For those interested in attending, tickets for this cocktail attire event are $250 per person for Participant seating, and $350 for Patron level seating. A Valentine Angel Table is available for $10,000 that offers seating at the DeGolyer Dining Room Table, exquisite settings, a private musician, and exceptional service for up to 10 people. Impress your Valentine this year and visit Delta Charlie’s Bar & Grill for its annual Valentine’s Day Dinner & Flight offering a three-course dinner and spectacular views of Dallas for $200 per couple.

“Delta Charlie’s is truly a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day experience,” says owner Mark Kelcher. “Our flights always leave guests smiling ear to ear. It’s romantic and unforgettable.”

Couples will enjoy a 30-minute, private sightseeing flight with breathtaking views of Dallas’ iconic skyline. Either before or after touchdown, a three-course dinner is served beginning with your choice of salad. Entrée selections include 8 oz. Grilled Ribeye with Cabernet mushroom sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables, Tilapia served with rice and sautéed vegetables topped with pico de gallo and a balsamic glaze, Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast served on a bed of linguini topped with an artichoke, mushroom, onion and garlic cream sauce, and Vegetable Pasta with Linguini noodles tossed in a light marinara sauce with zucchini, squash, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli and carrots. Dessert choices include Chocolate Brownie Sundae, Cheesecake or Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.

Enjoy a romantic six-course tasting menu while taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the Dallas skyline at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck. On Valentine’s Day and throughout the weekend, Executive Chef Patton Robertson will offer a six-course tasting menu featuring the restaurant’s signature Asian-inspired cuisine.

Menu highlights will include West Coast Oyster on the half shell with Sake foam, Beluga Caviar; Duo of Tataki with Seared Hamachi and Local Wagyu Beef; Korean Chili Glazed Lobster with House Made Kimchee, Sesame, and Jasmine Rice; Char Su Pork Belly with Ginger Parsnip Puree, Fennel and Citrus; Miso Glazed Veal Cheek with Chili-Kabocha Puree.

Anastacia, also known as AQ, served as Executive Chef at Dallas restaurants Alma and Komali, but now works as a culinary instructor at Molina High School. This event marks her debut back into kitchen.

Live music and service provided by Molina High School students under the direction of Chef AQ will make the evening truly one of a kind. Patrons can definitely expect a warm dining experience full of culture and tradition.
