Isn’t he cute? This man is cider maker Greg Failing. (photo via website.)

Happy MLK Day. For those of you who have the day off, you suck. But I’ll only hold it against you. A little.

For the rest of us: Look forward to that clock turning 6:30 p.m. today. There’s a cool, under-the-radar event in Fort Worth that makes this day even better. Cider makers Greg Failing and John Matson from Vermont Hard Cider are holding a 1.5-hour workshop at the Total Wine in Fort Worth. It’s a drive, but think about it. The class is only $5. You can barely buy one bottle of cider with that. At this class, though, you’ll get to try a lot of cool products (i.e. Woodchuck Amber, Magners Original, Limited Release, Private reserve, Dry Hop, Smoked Apple, Farmhouse Select) and learn more about the process. Plus, you’ll get some glass to take home.
