This new webpage layout is a mess.
Had a great edamame burger (burger? patty?) at Whiskey Cake. In the estimable words of Ratt: I’ll be “Back For More”.

Noodle House in Plano, last night. Cannot wait a week to post about what a great meal we had. There were 4 of us and we shared everything because the serving sizes are very generous. Don’t go expecting a traditional “restaurant”, it is a fast casual (order at a counter) place inside a former grocery (?) that has been modified into a (mostly empty) mini mall. They let us start a tab, and order in “waves” of food, which they delivered to our table. And, because they recognized we were not “regulars”, the owner brought us two bowls of traditional sauces, one spicy, one tart that they make up from the condiment bar (they explained that most of their guests make their own styles). If you BYOB, bring your own glassware.

What Noodle House lacks in interior style is more than made up for in food quality. And price. Our bill, 7 dishes for 4, $62.

I was licking the goo off the sticky rice meatball wrappers, they were that good. I have a dozen waiting in my freezer for ramen night at home. Don’t miss the pickles.

I’m addicted to those pearl balls. Glad you like them, too.
