cookbooksHow many cookbooks do you own? A Dallas chef who is cleaning out his house sends this.

Nancy, How many cookbooks do you own and what are your favorite books? Last night I was packing a bunch of cookbooks to put in storage and I counted at least 1,200 cookbooks that I own. I calculated that I have spent at least 125k on cookbooks over the last 30 years.

Also, if and when I may die, to whom would I leave my vast collection that would cherish them as much as I have? I was really flabbergasted when I counted books and thought about how much I have spent. I thought it might be a fun thing to ask on your blog.

Holy Joy of Cooking!  Go on. Count and spill. If you have a donation idea, leave it as well. I suggested El Centro.
