If you’ve been so concerned with your Thanksgiving decor that you haven’t put any thought into your menu, have no fear: Sur La Table is offering three demo-style cooking classes for just $5 apiece at their Dallas location. You can watch as their chef instructor shows you how to make make-ahead appetizers (quinoa fritters with smoked salmon, spiced nuts, and prosciutto and honey mustard palmiers); mouthwatering sides (mashed potatoes, green beans with cranberries, roasted squash and kale salad with pomegranates); or pumpkin pie (you’ll learn how to make the crust, the pumpkin filling, candied pecans, and bourbon cream). And yes, you’ll get to sample each dish when they’re through. For schedules and reservation information, visit surlatable.com.
