September is ages away, but if you don’t plan your life now, you’ll be… lame. The same guys who brought you the North Texas Taco Festival have decided that “one taco festival a year isn’t enough.” I wholeheartedly agree. Instead of sitting on their bums and whining about it for 12 months, these guys have partnered up with Four Corners Brewery and organized TacoCon, “the area’s first celebration of the lonchera, or taco truck.”
Five trucks from Dallas-Fort Worth are gathering at Four Corners Brewing Company (423 Singleton Ave.) on Friday, September 6, from 6 to 10 p.m. According to José Ralat-Maldonado, one of the organizers, “Each lonchera will be selling their unique take on your favorite food. Four Corners will have its bar space open for beer by the pint, including a one-off special brewed for TacoCon (Cerveza). Of course, there will be live musical entertainment.”
Plenty of free parking and free admission. It’s a good deal, if you ask me.
