This past Saturday, some of Texas’ best craft breweries and drink enthusiasts made their way to the Texas Motor Speedway to enjoy an afternoon at the Best Little Brewfest in Texas. Over 50 craft breweries with over 100 beers gathered in the garage in the center of the racetrack to sample and taste some of the best ales and lagers the local brewers had to offer. All of the companies represented were more than happy to offer insight into each of their drinks. Stepping out of the garage offered a great chance to listen to local musicians on the main stage. Hot dogs, pretzels, and sweet tea were offered to those who wanted something to cleanse their palate before tasting more brews.

But the afternoon was about more than just music and beer. The purpose of this event was to raise money for Cloud 9 Charities, who provide funding to several non-profit companies. This weekend focused on raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association and the prevention of teen suicide. Many of the local companies and attendees were more than willing to donate their time and money to help out with this event. The Best Little Brewfest made for a very exciting and relaxing afternoon.
