A pre-opening event is taking place inside the new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Richardson on Thursday, July 25. At 7PM, they will host a free advance screening of The World’s End, the final film in the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy directed by Edgar Wright who will be in attendance. Wright and two of the film’s stars, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, will participate in a Q&A after the screening. Trilogy fans are encouraged to come dressed as a giant Cornetto ice cream cone, zombie, cop, or a zombie cop!
At 9PM there will be a free double feature on the 40-foot screen place in the Alamo parking lot on a 40-foot screen: Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hott Fuzz (2007). Food trucks and an outdoor bar will be on hand in the parking lot for the screenings.
