It’s definitely crawfish season again, and I know some of you have been looking for places to dig in with your clinchers. Here are five crawfish boils that I’ve found through rigorous Google searching.
(You guys are lucky. There’s practically a boil happening every weekend from now until May.)
Sunday, April 7
Aw Shucks is hosting a crawfish boil in its Lewisville location parking lot. All-you-can eat crawfish, boiled shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes for only $25. Listen to live music, drink cold beer, and watch a crawfish eating contest while you’re at it. 1630 S. Stemmons Fwy., Lewisville. 972-436-2520. Noon to 6 p.m.
Saturday, April 13
It’s the first time the Holy Grail Pub‘s doing a boil, but here’s what they have to say: “You pick ’em, we boil ’em. Welcome Spring and enjoy Crawfish served with new potatoes, and corn on the cob. Pair ’em with Spring Seasonal Beer Tappings at Noon.” 8240 Preston Road, #150, Plano. Noon to 9 p.m.
The Texas Youth Scholarship Program is also hosting its first inaugural crawfish event, and it’s for a good cause. The money raised will go toward a scholarship for a high school senior graduating this spring. “Enjoy boiled crawfish from Heads or Tails Cajun Crawfish, live music from The Stoneleighs Rolling Stones Tribute, and unlimited beer! Tickets are $35 in advance. 100% of the proceeds go towards the TYSO Scholarship Fund.” Buy tickets here. 5612 SMU Blvd, 2 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, April 20
The Rosedale Group is hosting its fourth annual fundraiser, “Boil for the Brave,” to raise money for building/repairing housing for DFW veterans. Tickets are $25 if you buy them online or $30 at the door. The Zydeco Stingrays will be there, playing some tunes. McKinney Avenue Tavern, 2822 McKinney Ave., 2 to 6 p.m.
Sunday, May 20
For the Frisco Crawfish Boil, get tickets at the door ($17) until they run out. Here’s the description:
The Frisco Crawfish Boil was established as a way to bring the community together around great food and great music, for a great cause. We’ll be serving up crawfish, corn and potatoes with all proceeds going to this year’s beneficiary, Hope Park.
For $17 at the door, you’ll receive a tray of crawfish (approximately 2.5 pounds), corn and potato. Additional pounds can be purchased at the Boil. Cajun Crawfish Company will serve ‘em up until the tanks are dry.

There’s always the Texas Crawfish Festival in Springs, TX. It runs from April 19-21, 26-28, and it’s only $10 for general admission. Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty will be there for one of the biggest crawfish parties in a historic 1900’s railroad town. Man, I wish I lived closer.
