Del Frisco’s Grille Set to Open Late November at One McKinney Plaza in Dallas

|

Another day, another new restaurant in Uptown. Today Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group announced they will open Del Frisco’s Grille this month at One McKinney Plaza at 3232 McKinney Avenue, at the corner of McKinney and Hall. According to the press release: “Del Frisco’s Grille will combine a comfortable and social atmosphere with exciting cuisine, an expansive wine list and hand-crafted cocktails.”

The rest is below. Welcoming guests with genuine, warm hospitality and a little excitement, Del Frisco’s Grille will be Uptown Dallas’ new favorite neighborhood destination.  The new concept takes the classic bar and grill to new heights, proving that it’s not necessary to spend a fortune to get great food. The menu is diverse and accessible with a wide variety of plates to savor or share with friends. The restaurant infuses bold flavors and market-fresh ingredients into its menu, which consists of a tempting mix of prime steaks, fresh seafood and twists on American comfort cuisine. The Grille will stay true to its steakhouse roots and the world-class hospitality that Del Frisco’s is famous for, in a stylish and approachable setting.

Del Frisco’s Grille will be the daily see-and-be-seen hot spot in Uptown for lunch and dinner, and it will feature a can’t miss weekend brunch experience Saturday and Sunday.  Drawing inspiration from its Uptown location, Del Frisco’s Grille’s blends industrial and lush elements with works of art to create an atmosphere that is simultaneously stylish, social and relaxed. Two energetic bars, destinations unto themselves, create a buzz throughout the restaurant and set the stage for an exciting dining experience.  The patios provide the perfect perch to catch a glimpse of the action on the McKinney Avenue corridor and offer some of the best al fresco dining in Dallas.

“We wanted to create a place that you want to bring friends and where you can meet new ones.  It had to have an ease and familiar feel the moment you walk through the door – and of course great food and great drinks,” said Mark Mednansky, chief executive officer of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “Del Frisco’s Grille represents an exciting new chapter for our company, and I am so thrilled to have it come home to Dallas.”

The menu at the Grille is perfectly suited for the food-centric Uptown area, featuring the bold flavors that Del Frisco’s is known for.  The culinary team, led by Executive Chef Aaron Henschen, has created menus for lunch, brunch and dinner. The menu will offer craveable selections of appetizers to share or fight over, flatbreads, hearty salads, fresh selections from the sea, two-fisted sandwiches and “knife and fork” entrees, as well as Del Frisco’s Award-Winning jumbo lump crab cake and renowned signature hand-cut prime steaks and sharable sides.  Some brunch items include an out-of-this-world red velvet Belgian waffle, savory carbonara flatbreads and chicken fried steak and eggs in true Del Frisco’s style.

Del Frisco’s Director of Wine, David O’Day, has tirelessly crafted a mammoth wine list that will stand out against any restaurant in the area. With more than 500 selections, the list features not only a solid depth of varietals, but also a range in price points that reinforces the approachable nature of the restaurant.  Selected wines come from a mix of old and new world wineries from the top regions of the world. If the list weren’t enough, Del Frisco’s Grille’s sommeliers are an added perk to diners. Each is dedicated to guiding guests to the perfect wine to sip with friends or complement their meal.

“The great thing about wine is how it brings people together.  Our list reflects the communal spirit that is a cornerstone to not merely drinking wine, but really enjoying it,” O’Day explained.  “Our wine list has something for everyone – the aficionado will find enough twists and turns that they can dine with us daily and still stumble on something new; for the novice, there is a whole world to explore.”

For those looking for something other than wine, Del Frisco’s Grille will feature a selection of specially created hand-crafted cocktails, including skinny cocktails and signature shots on tap. The well- stocked bar will also feature a large selection of draft and bottled beers including local favorites and sought-after craft beers.
Del Frisco’s Grille is located in the recently remodeled One McKinney Plaza at 3232 McKinney Avenue, at the corner of McKinney and Hall. The restaurant will occupy 8,350 square feet on two levels of the building.
