Burgers and Burgundy To Benefit DIFFA Is October 9 in Dallas

BURGERS & BURGUNDY BENEFITS DIFFA/DALLAS

DIFFA/DALLAS KICKS OFF YEAR WITH THIRD ANNUAL CELEBRITY CHEF EVENT HOSTED BY JOHN TESAR AT ONE ARTS PLAZA

[DALLAS, TX – September 21, 2011]— Celebrity chefs will join Chef John Tesar at One Arts Plaza, Sunday, October 9th, 2011 for the third annual Burgers & Burgundy event benefitting The Dallas Chapter of DIFFA (Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS). Each chef has been tasked with the challenge to serve up the best burger and compliment them with wines and specialty cocktails from Grey Goose Vodka. Funds raised from the event will go towards DIFFA/Dallas’s mission of serving those who are affected by AIDS and HIV across North Texas.

“I’m thrilled to bring together my brand and my peers for what has become an annual flourishing event for DIFFA,” comments Chef Tesar. “Under the bun, our sliders will be grilled and assembled to raise awareness and monies for DIFFA/Dallas and AIDS Service Organizations in North Texas.”

Chefs joining the barbecue at One Arts Plaza include John Tesar, Chef/Owner The Commissary; Tim Byres, Executive Chef/Owner SMOKE; Scott Romano, Executive Chef Charlie Palmer; Sharon Van Meter, President SVM Productions; Kevin Williamson, Chef Ranch 616; Teicchi Sakurai, Chef/Owner Tei An; Jordan Rogers, Chef Fedora; Matt McCallister, Campo, and more.

“We are so excited to have nationally and locally acclaimed chefs and great sponsors such as Freedman Foods, One Arts Plaza, Fresh Point, Grey Goose Vodka and Dallas Market Center on board to help raise funds for DIFFA/Dallas,” says Clint Bradley, DIFFA/Dallas Board of Trustee Chairman.  “We truly appreciate their donation of time, product and expertise.”

Burgers and Burgundy takes place Sunday, October 9th from 4-7pm. Tickets for Burgers & Burgundy are $75 per person and are available at www.diffadallas.org, by calling 214-748-8580, and at all participating restaurants.
