Tiffany Derry’s old stomping grounds at GoFish are now occupied by Aquadora. (Boy I so want to slap a Pompadoura on the end of that name to make it a combination hair salon and seafood restaurant.) Seriously, a lease has been signed for the 6,052-square-foot restaurant located at the intersection of Alpha and Noel Roads. Aquadora will feature “a concise menu highlighting an assortment of steaks and fresh seafood ranging from sea bass and halibut to lobster and shrimp, plus a sushi bar featuring ceviche and sashimi.” Execuchef is Mike Dimas, a Dallas native who comes back home after stints in S-named cities: San Antonio, Santa Fe and Santa Barbara. (Is this the same Hacienda on Henderson Mike Dimas?) LIG Entertainment Management, Inc. is developing Aquadora. They also plan to open a tapas bar and lounge plus a night club in Dallas. The restaurant owners have remodeled the former GoFish dining area and created separate rooms ideal for private parties. In addition, the new occupants have extended the lounge, making Aquadora a more attractive social gathering spot outside of the traditional lunch and dinner hours.
Mike Lakomski, General Manager of Aquadora, says, “We are excited to welcome Dallas to Aquadora, where the focus will be on providing an assortment of choices for diners and serving up the freshest of fine seafood and steaks in a luxurious setting.”
Aquadora is one of three projects LIG Entertainment Management, Inc. will undertake in Dallas in 2011. Aside from the fine dining restaurant at Village on the Green, the firm will open a tapas bar and lounge plus a night club in other Dallas locales.
Michael Wheat, executive vice president, director of leasing for Cypress Equities, the developer of Village on the Green, states, “It is a delight to announce this upscale dining option at Village on the Green. The restaurant’s location in this vibrant North Dallas community will be a perfect complement to the area’s other retail and restaurant mix.”

Village on the Green is a mixed-use community featuring retail, restaurant and residential components including Maximo Cocina Mexicana and Margarita Lounge, Jos. A. Bank, I.O. Metro, Planet Fitness, Clive and Co. and more. The development is located on the northeast corner of Alpha and Noel Roads in Dallas adjacent to the Galleria Dallas, and its retail space is developed by a Cypress Equities company.*
