Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets are now on sale at the DallasChocolate.org website for the DallasChocolate.org Chocolate Conference 2011.

Scheduled to participate at this yearʼs event are acclaimed chocolate maker Shawn Askinosie (Askinosie Chocolate) from Missouri; master chocolatier Michael Recchiuti (Recchiuti Confections) from San Francisco, CA; chocolate maker Art Pollard

(Amano Artisan Chocolate) from Utah; and local chocolatiers Wiseman House Chocolate, Coco André, Collin College, Nib Chocolates, Sublime Chocolate, Toffee Treats, Chocolate Secrets, The Dark Chocolate Bakery, and Dr. Sueʼs Chocolate. More chocolatiers and special guests will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.

The Chocolate Conference 2011 is an immersive and rewarding event for chocolate lovers with two main components both included with a single ticket purchase: A Showcase of Chocolate and a Chocolate Academy. The Showcase of Chocolate is an exhibition hall where attendees can sample chocolates from the participating chocolatiers and chocolate makers. An adult ticket allows for ten samples during any one of the four sampling sessions in the Showcase of Chocolate. Sessions are an hour and a half long and start at 11:00 AM.

In the Chocolate Academy, attendees can hear talks throughout the day about the making, use, and history of fine chocolate. The Academy will kick-off at 10:00 AM with the Chocolatier’s Roundtable — a free-flowing discussion with all participating chocolatiers. Clay Gordon (The Chocolate Life) will be returning this year to lead his “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Chocolate” class and Adrienne Newman (Madame Cocoa) will be the Chocolate Academyʼs mistress of ceremonies.

While all classes are included with a ticket purchase, space is limited and is on a first come, first seated basis.

The price of a ticket is $15 (plus tax) in advance and $20 (including tax) on the day of the Conference. Tickets for children

include three samples and are available for $5 (plus tax) in advance and $6 (including tax) on the day of the Conference.

Attendance will be capped to ensure that attendees are able to interact with the chocolatiers and chocolate makers.

More details about the Chocolate Conference 2011 including participating chocolatiers and chocolate makers, and the

complete Chocolate Academy schedule will be posted at DallasChocolate.org as they become available.

Critics have called this Texas landmark, “the most beautiful building west of Venice.”  Its fine-dining restaurant – The French Room – is the only restaurant in Texas to receive the AAA Five Diamond Award in 2010.  Follow The Adolphus on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/theadolphus). Become a Fan of The Adolphus on Facebook (http://facebook.com/TheAdolphusHotel).
