Last Friday, the French American Chamber of Commerce held its 27th Annual Beaujolais Wine Festival. The rationale for the party is ostensibly to celebrate the release of the new vintage of Beaujolais Nouveau wine but many of the 2,000 attendees didn’t seem to need the new wine as an excuse to party. Wines served this year came from regions broader than Beaujolais with booths serving wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhone region, and Texas.
Food was provided by Cadot Restaurant, Eddie Deen, Hotel St. Germain, La Duni Latin Café, La Madeleine, Lavendou Bistro Provençal, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Mozzarella Company & Empire Baking Co, Paciugo Gelato, Parigi, Salum Restaurant, Sambuca Uptown, Scardello Artisan Cheese, Y.O. Ranch Restaurant, Capriccio Ristorante, and Delice Chocolatier Selection.
Other attractions included a fashion show by Texas Next Top Designers Darian Thomas and an appearance by Miss Texas, Ashley Melnick.
Wines were supplied by Goody Goody Wine and Spirits and sponsorship came from major French companies and American companies doing business in France.
