    Carolina’s is incredible (the reason I wrote it in for a vote in the ‘Best of Dallas’ polls), the brisket tacos are by far the best I’ve had in Dallas.

  • I loved the back-story.

    “She did it mostly because it’s what she knows, but also maybe because she had something to prove about herself and the role she played in Mi Cocina’s success. Though her journey since then has been rocky, the three restaurants she’s opened indicate that the role she played was greater than we realized.”

    I hope she succeeds.

    Good tacos are the new “it” food because we’re all looking for something better than the greasy ground beef tacos that we’ve been forced to make do with for so long. I also like the attention being paid to making good tortillas rather than the same old crispy tacos with no flavor. I went to Rusty Taco for lunch today and was a very happy camper.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the article about Carolina’s and Taco Mundo in the print product. Job well done.

    Love the chicken enchiladas at Carolina’s and the patio at their North Dallas location is pretty awesome.

    The one in north Dallas at the 2 tollways has a great patio. The location seems kinda hidden at first but once your there, your glad it is so there isn’t a huge wait. The food and device beats any other Mexican place in town and the atmosphere is tops as well. Been 5 times and it somehow gets better each time. Hope she puts mico in their place as a avg Tex Mex hole.
