Somebody Help This Poor Bride: Rehearsal Dinner, MMX Edition

Crying_Bridge_thumbLast year we helped several people find the perfect spot for a rehearsal dinner. It didn’t take long for this common question to pop up again. Dishers, and restaurateurs, give us your best pitch.

I have a dilemma and I’m wondering if you or your other readers can help. My fiancé and I are getting married here in Uptown Dallas this spring and we are looking for a Friday night rehearsal dinner venue in the area. I am a Dallas transplant and while I’ve dined at many Dallas restaurants I’m drawing a blank as to a unique venue capable of handling approximately 60 people for my rehearsal dinner. About half of the guests are from the West Coast and many have never spent time in Dallas, so I’d like to do something that is memorable. I know Texas BBQ is big here, but that is a bit too messy for the occasion. Given the large size, I think some sort of buffet in a private room would work best (or a limited menu). Everyone will be in cocktail attire so something upscale yet reasonably priced is what I have in mind. Any ideas?
