Winners Announced For The 2009 James Beard Foundation Media Awards

The big festivities and awards will be held tonight in New York City, but the 19 media categories of the 2009 James Beard Foundation Awards were announced today. Regrets to Pat Sharpe of Texas Monthly who was edged out by Alan “I Really Don’t Need Another One” Richman of GQ. Dallas’ Sharon Hage, of York Street, is up for Best Chef in the Southwest. Sharon is not in New York for the gala. If you want to “watch” the awards as they are announced, the JBF hosts a live blog. Let’s hope they’ve worked out a few of the kinks from last year’s blog.
