Just thought I would share one of the zillion press releases that I receive daily. Other than there being a Buca di Beppo in Dallas, there is nothing in this release that pertains to Dallas. I couldn’t resist the photo and the opening lines of the press release. Here goes:
Great event at the Buca di Beppo Italian eatery in Las Vegas on Saturday night, where the 51 contestants of the 2009 Miss USA Pageant – including Miss Texas – made a special appearance. They entered with crowns and sashes and were met with cheese, pasta and sauces, as 51 gorgeous contestants of the 2009 Miss USA Pageant made a special appearance at the Buca di Beppo Italian eatery on East Flamingo Rd. Saturday evening.
If you’ve got the time, the rest is below.
Dazzling in their sashes and cocktail attire and fresh from their arrival ceremony at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the young women dined family-style on a set menu that included mozzarella caprese salad, apple gorgonzola salad, prosciutto stuffed mushrooms, lemon chicken, salmon with pesto, spaghetti marinara, broccoli with greens beans and dessert of tiramisu and gelato cones. After greeting on-lookers and posing for fan photos, some of the contestants joined Buca di Beppo Corporate Chef Michael Miyahara for a cooking demonstration with pasta, peppers, tomatoes and other fresh ingredients that Buca di Beppo is famous for. The Miss USA appearance at Buca di Beppo follows on the (high) heels of the 2009 Miss America contestants who ate at Buca di Beppo on January 18, 2009. The iconic Miss USA Pageant returns for its second year to Las Vegas and the Theatre for the Performing Arts at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The 2009 Miss USA Pageant will air live on NBC on April 19, 2009.
