The much ballyhooed Twisted Root Burger Co. of Deep Ellum is putting down some roots in Richardson. The new 3,000-square-foot restaurant is located at the southeast corner of North Central Expressway and Campbell Road, and offers a large patio overlooking neighboring Eastside Park. (Bring your binocs—good birding!)
Owner Jason Boso, do you have anything you’d like to say? Heck yes. Boso: “This is a great opportunity for us, and we’re excited to branch out with a second location. Our loyal customers now have an alternative to our original Deep Ellum location and will find an easy, casual place to hang out and get a quality burger with all the fixins.” Besides burgers look for a larger variety of seasonal game meats including alligator, elk, and venison.
We don’t care about alligator, we just want to know when Twisted Root will appear on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives? When host Guy Fieri was in town, he sampled nearly everything in the kitchen. According to PR peeps, the episode will air in “early summer.”
