Jason Weaver is Leaving The French Room for Las Vegas

Let’s get this week going with a zinger to the melon–the French Room’s execuchef, Jason Weaver, is moving to Las Vegas to open the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. (Feigning happiness.) I’m glad that Jason is so excited about the move. Listen:

“My family and I made the decision to move to Las Vegas. I am going to be opening the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in  December 2009. It is part of the City Center Development right there on the strip. It is just a amazing opportunity, and although I have loved the French Room, the Adolphus Hotel, and Dallas we made the decision to go. It was a difficult decision as we were very happy here and loved the people in Dallas but in the end, we feel we made the rigth decision. Mandarin Oriental is a amazing company … I was with them in Miami and New York as well.”

Okay, I could have corrected his typo, but I didn’t feel like it. This is a loss for Dallas, Dishers. Rigth?
