Oceanaire to Host a Special Beer Dinner


Hmm, I’ve been touting “beer is the new wine” for a couple years. Maybe 2009 it will come true. Several folks like The Libertine Bar are doing regular beer dinners. Now comes a “special five-course ‘Beer Dinner’ on  Thursday, January 29 featuring select brews from the Anchor Brewery Company of San Francisco, complemented by the culinary expertise of executive chef Chad Kelley Cost for this extraordinary event is $55 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity” at The Oceanaire Seafood Room. If you want it, you’ll have to jump.

Anchor Brewing has played a significant role in San Francisco’s rich history. Anchor’s eight unique beers—including Anchor Steam®—are all produced in one of the most traditional and handsome breweries in the world. Each brew is virtually handmade from an all-malt mash in the handcrafted copper brew-house, a veritable museum of the simple, traditional breweries of old.

“We are thrilled to partner with Anchor Brewery Company for this unique dining experience,” says Oceanaire Executive Chef Chad Kelley.  “The rich creamy flavors of Anchor Brewery truly complement each course and the dinner will be a fun and casual dining experience.”

The Oceanaire Seafood Room is located at 13340 Dallas Parkway, in The Westin Galleria.  Reservations are required for this event, 972-759-2277.  Valet parking is available.  Dinner begins at 7pm.
