I recently rediscovered John Powers & Son Gold Label. It’s an Irish whiskey, and it happens to be the first whiskey I ever drank—circa 10 or 11yrs old. Something about it just works, (think Ron Burgundy + Scotch.) Same thing goes for a buddy of mine with his first real drink, Canadian Club.
Whatever your poison, is there such a thing as booze nostalgia? (First drink=programmed for life?) And no, sips of stale beer don’t count.
