I’m happy to report that Texas finally has it’s own bourbon. The Garrison Brothers Distillery is in Hye, Texas, and will have it’s first bottles ready in 2011. So why has it taken so long? Great whiskey starts with great water (and lots of it), and that’s not something Texas has a lot of. Sounds like the Bros. found a way around this by using Hill Country rain water.
