I’m Greek, so I’ve had a few stuffed grape leaves in my day. I prefer them stuffed with meat (insert obvious joke here), but I’ve never turned away the rice-stuffed variety. Here’s my dilemma. I need some for a party this Saturday–yes, I could make them, but I’ve got other, less time-consuming things to do–and I’m not sure where to buy them. I need about three dozen. I’d like a mix of meat and rice, but I realize the vegetarian variety is easier to find. Someone suggested Whole Foods, but I find theirs to be mushy. I like Izmir Market a whole bunch–but I don’t like how ridiculously overpriced it is. I suppose Ali Baba might be the ticket–but do they sell them in bulk? Central Market catering does a beautiful Mediterranean platter, but I’m not sure they’ll sell only the dolmas. Help me, please, so I can greet my guests with grape leaves.
