Where to Find: Tofu Noodles

By Sarah Eveans |

I was just reading the NY Times Dining and Wine section this week and came across an article about Tofu Shirataki noodles. These are spaghetti-shaped noodles made of tofu and yam powder and have about 40 calories per eight-ounce bag. Supposedly they are carrying them at Whole Foods, at least in New York. I’m wondering if anyone has seen them here, and if you have, have you tried them? I met a writer on a press trip recently who raved about how delicious they are (and what a great pasta alternative they are for people watching carbs/cals). Info please.
