Hatch Chiles Invade North Texas

|

I’m sure many have already spotted the famous chiles at specialty grocers around town, but for those who haven’t, this post’s for you. Saturday marks the beginning of Central Market’s annual Hatch Chile Festival. They’re trucking in thousands of chiles and setting up to roast. And this year CM has compiled an entire cookbook filled with nothing but recipes highlighting the Hatch chile. If you’ve never been, you have to stop in and sample everything from mozzarella to cornbread.  Before you know it, your cart will be full. (Evil geniuses!) The event is all day, Aug. 23-24 & 30-31. Don’t miss out this year like you did the last one.
