Leave it to chef Avner Samuel to take some of America’s favorite fattening goodies and give them a gourmet spin. Next Saturday, he hosts a three-hour cooking class at Aurora, where, for $95, students will learn the intricacies of preparing lobster corn dogs and Kobe beef burgers. That’s all well and good, but throw in wine pairings and a crispy funnel cake with mission figs, burnt honey ice cream, and balsamic fig jus prepared by pastry chef Bethany Costello, and you have our attention, sir. Jump for the particulars.

Saturday, July 19
10:00 am – 1:00 pm
$95 per person

Learn to cook and have a blast as Chef Avner Samuel teaches 5-star techniques during a hands-on cooking class in Aurora’s beautiful open kitchen.

Following the class, each guest will enjoy a
4 course lunch complete with wine pairings.

You may also purchase specialty items used in Avner’s kitchen such as organic olive oils, aged balsamic vinegar, fleur de sel and other culinary ingredients. “Cooking with Avner” aprons as well as embroidered chef jackets are available for purchase as well.
