The restaurant, that is. BLT just announced a new happy hour, from 4:30–6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Vital stats: $2 draft beers, $4 wines by the glass, and a BLT signature cocktail for $6. February’s signature cocktail is the Passion Chili Margarita—silver tequila, passion fruit purée, lime juice, and jalapeño syrup—in honor of the month of love. (Well, at least for some of us it is.)
Of equal importance is the food news. Executive Chef Laurent Tourondel has whipped up a happy hour bar menu (hooray!) featuring sliders with kobe beef, red wine braised shallots, and Gruyere or Angus beef, bacon, onion, tomato, and cheddar; buffalo wings; buffalo rock shrimp; braised BBQ baby back ribs; and mini popovers with bacon and caramelized onion. Screw passion. I’ll take a baby burger any day.
