Keeping this short and sweet, since we technically have the day off here at D Worldwide Headquarters. Your best weekend bets include the still-pretty-new Animal Inside Out exhibit at the Perot Museum and fall fun at the Dallas Arboretum.
Animal Inside Out is probably for more adventurous kiddos, since it features dozens of animal carcasses stripped down to their bones and muscles. It’s so we can truly appreciate nature’s miracles, but there’s still a pretty big yuck factor. Just remember that since it’s a special exhibit, it’s not included in the Perot’s general admission. If you buy your ticket online, you have the option to bundle.
It’s not Halloween just yet, but I have already purchased my first pumpkin. The Arboretum is getting into the spirit, too, opening their annual Autumn at the Arboretum display last week. I can’t wait to see this year’s incarnation of the Pumpkin Village, constructed out of more than 50,000 eye-popping pumpkins and gourds. There’s also a hay bale maze and a Tom Thumb-sponsored pumpkin patch where you can buy your own pumpkin to take home.
