Get The Kids Rocking at The Dallas Symphony’s Family Concert Series

I’m a big believer that you can’t expose your kiddos to too much music. To that end, we keep a constant stream of Pandora going at our house, toggling between stations based on a vast range of musical stylings (think everything from Miles Davis and Johnny Cash to Vampire Weekend, Kimbra, and De La Soul — we like to mix things up).

One thing I’d love to do more of however is take the girls to see live music, so I’m seeking out as many concert opportunities as possible this fall (stay tuned for our incomparable D Magazine events editor Liz Johnstone’s stellar round up of can’t-miss fall music festivals in the September issue of D Moms), like, say, the Dallas Symphony’s Family Concert Series.

With events like a play along concert where kids can build their own fantastical instruments to a costume party/Halloween music extravangaza, the series is great for getting the younger set rocking.

Single ticket sales for the series start this Saturday, August 3. You can get more details and nab tickets to individual events (or the entire season) here.
