I am a DIY gal when it comes to hair and makeup. The idea of having someone do it for me feels complicated and/or risky. But Raya’s recent posts on the trifecta of new spots focused on affordable, easy blowouts, styling, and makeup application has me reconsidering.
First she told us about Snider Plaza’s super feminine, French-inspired La Bichette (pictured above), which offers all manner of beautification as well as a house line of eco-friendly products. Then she gave us word that LA-based Blushington Makeup and Beauty Lounge is opening its doors this Saturday in The Shops at Highland Park. And last but not least, there was today’s news that The Hair Bar is launching its newest location at Preston and Royal on Monday, December 17, and (even better news) they’re offering complimentary blowouts or makeup applications all week. Be sure to book now to nab a slot between Monday, December 17 and Friday, December 21.
I’m planning to give at least one of these places a whirl in the near future… I’ll let you know how it goes.
