One of my favorite blogs is i’m revolting written by the clever and insightful Su Wu, who has an eagle eye when it comes to spotting the rare, uncanny or timeless in just about anything. She also is an Etsy blogger, and her post this week took the words right out of my mouth — making do with life’s little toss-aways in hopes of building a little person as clever as a fox. She literally wrote the post I was going to write this week for tinyDallas, just better. So, rather than watching me fumble toward originality, you should just hop over to that post instead where Su muses on gifting a child with the supplies and pieces that could build a mad-crazy resourceful and inventive wunderkind.
“I’d want her to always be unfinished, to know raw edges and tomorrow, and the possibilities in remnants and pieces of string . . . I hope her ideas always consume her, at once feverish and specific, and I hope there will always be more ideas than she can ever get to.”
