Bottle Rocket
If there’s ever been a reason to snag a last-minute babysitter, this is it. Head over to Kessler Theater (in costume if you’re game) Friday night for a screening of the cult classic, the second installment of this pretty awesome film series. Somehow beer and pizza at Eno’s seems like a perfectly old-school way to kick off (or end) the evening.

Shop + Eat

Head over to the Galleria Saturday morning to rummage the summer sales  — we recently scored big at Zara…both for us and the littles. Don’t miss the puppet show for the kids at 11:30 on the third floor. After that, jump onto the tollway and head north to Deli News for the best sandwiches in town. The corned beef sandwich is seriously the best we’ve had and the challah french toast looked all fluffy and amazing as well.

Peter Rabbit
So maybe we’re nuts to even consider braving the incorrigible heat but if we can tough it out, we’re thinking the kids would have a blast at the Arboretum‘s Peter Rabbit Scavenger Hunt. After all it only runs through July and it’s not getting any cooler…
