Big news broke today in the commercial real estate industry. CBRE has tapped former JLL executive Brooke Armstrong to lead its advisory services for the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The industry vet has been involved in some of DFW’s most high-profile transactions throughout her career.

Replacing Michael Caffey, who was promoted to Regional President, North Region for CBRE last month, Armstrong will oversee two advisory offices in DFW in her new role, including 2100 McKinney Avenue in Uptown, which houses more than 285 local market professionals, and 301 Commerce Street in Fort Worth, which includes more than 20 employees. She will be based in the McKinney office, which is also CBRE’s global corporate headquarters.

“Leading CBRE’s Advisory business in the firm’s headquarters’ market is an incredible opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” Armstrong told D CEO. “CBRE’s platform and talent are well-established as the best in the industry, and I am excited to work alongside some of the most respected professionals as we grow CBRE’s business and help our clients in DFW realize their business potential through real estate.”

During her tenure with JLL, Armstrong led the firm’s office tenant representation practice in Dallas.

“Brooke is highly regarded by her peers and clients for her unparalleled market knowledge and strong leadership abilities,” said Connelly. “She is a dynamic, next-gen leader who has both the expertise and creative vision needed to steer our business into the future, expand our market share in DFW and help our clients in the region realize their business potential through real estate.”

Armstrong began her real estate career in 2004 when she joined The Staubach Company as an associate broker. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.

Her first day at CBRE will be Oct. 4.
