The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business has leased 16,893 square feet at The Centrum in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas. The school will use the space for its weekend MBA program in Dallas-Fort-Worth.

The 400,372-square-foot building is owned by Cawley Partners and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management LP.

Addie Ludwig, vice president of project leasing for Cawley, said the school will bring even more activity to the property. “We believe McCombs will further solidify The Centrum as the premier creative office building in Uptown,” she said.

The lease fills the last vacant berth on the first floor of the building and brings the total vacancy down to 83,000 square feet. It’s the fifth lease signed at The Centrum since Quadrant Investment Properties sold it to Cawley and Oaktree last June.

Mitch Kumin and Frank McCafferty of the newly rebranded Savills lined up the deal for The University of Texas. Kristi Waddell and Jeremy Duggins of Cawley Partners joined Ludwig as in-house representatives for the landlord.
