A new luxe sundries shop is coming to Uptown. Foxtrot Delivery Market will take up 3,600 square feet at 2822 McKinney Ave., site of the late McKinney Avenue Tavern, which closed a year ago. It’s slated to open in early summer.

The next in a growing cohort of grocer-types to jump on the Uptown train, Foxtrot’s ware niche is similar to that of Royal Blue Grocery, with the added twist of delivery service available for customers in Uptown, downtown, Knox/Henderson, the Park Cities, Lower Greenville, and Lakewood.

Co-founders Michael LaVitola and Taylor Bloom say they plan to open two more storefronts in Dallas by the end of the year and have designs on expanding their delivery network farther north. Foxtrot has also signed an agreement with local caffeine powerhouse Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters as its exclusive coffee provider.

“We’ve had the opportunity these past few years to really define what matters to us—curation, convenience and community—and refine the experience in which we bring all those values together for our guests,” said LaVitola. “We chose Dallas for its vibrant community of local brands, great neighborhoods and people. With all the exciting growth the city itself is seeing, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to serve the community in this growing area.”
