Granite Properties, the developer behind projects such as Granite Park, Granite Place, and newly opened Factory Six03, has expanded its “Together We Connect” platform which includes philanthropic efforts and professional developments events for tenants within its buildings.

“Together We Connect is a broad umbrella for how we connect our customers to their community and to each other,” Granite Chief Operating Officer Greg Fuller says.

In October, Granite partnered with Southern Methodist University Cox Executive Education to present a corporate leadership course titled “The Changing Workplace: Leadership for the Future.”

SMU provided the professors and content, and Granite hosted the hours-long event at Granite Park. The event went well, Fuller says, and similar events are in the works for 2018.

“There will be more to come in the future,” Fuller says. “Some events will be repeated so more customers can attend. We’re also exploring ways to grow new programs at all our buildings.”

Such corporate events serve as a win-win for Granite and tenants: it helps tenants attract and retain their employees and it helps Granite attract and retain its tenants. “All landlords are trying to solve the same issue. Corporate users are using their space to retain and attract employees. These events provide great value,” Fuller says.

As part of Together We Connect, Granite has also organized a holiday philanthropic platform called Silver Bells. Granite tenants throughout the U.S. can pack and wrap toiletries and personal care items for low-income seniors in their given communities.
