The College Football Playoff has renewed a lease deal to keep the headquarters of its selection committee through 2024 in the The Summit at Las Colinas office building, where it occupies 10,228 square feet of space. The 19-story Irving office building totals 375,706 square feet and includes an 11-story parking garage.

“The Summit is the perfect place for us; it provides a quiet, dignified atmosphere,” Bill Hancock, executive director of College Football Playoff, said in a statement. “The location is spot on—near prime residential areas for our staff and close to both Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and Love Field.”

The College Football Playoff selection committee ranks the top 25 teams, with the top four facing off in semifinal games that rotate between sites at the Cotton Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Sugar Bowl.

In 2013, CFP Executive Director Bill Hancock and COO Michael Kelly opened a temporary headquarters location, also in Irving, at the Conference USA offices. In April of that year, Cowboys Stadium was announced as the site of the first national championship under the new CFP system. The next month, it was agreed that the headquarters would officially be located The Summit at Las Colinas, where it will remain for the foreseeable future.

“The College Football Playoff’s long-term lease renewal is a vote of confidence not only for the positive relationships we’ve developed with CFP over the years, but their appreciation of our building management style,” Helen Rivero, senior managing director of investment management for Gemini Rosemont, said in a statement.

Kirby White, Gemini Rosemont managing director, represented the owner in the transaction. Peery Wood of CBRE represented the tenant.
