The Crescent Continues to Grow in Uptown

The mixed-use property is aiming to make itself “a more popular gathering space"—and with the addition of new tenants, it seems to be right on track.

The Crescent is adding a few more tenants to the mix at the mixed-use development located in Uptown. Sixty Vines, East Hampton Sandwich Co., and Bivins Gallery will join the property designed by architect Philip Johnson. The atrium that houses the restaurant and retail shops is comprised of 164,696 gross square feet, while the three office buildings make up over 1 million square feet of gross office space.

The Crescent’s guide moving forward—“The Vision” strategy—aims to make the property “a more popular gathering space in the vibrant Uptown neighborhood.”

“Since the recent $33 million renovation at The Crescent, uses of the exterior spaces have increased tremendously,” John Zogg, managing director of Crescent Real Estate Equities LLC, said in a statement. “With the addition of Ascension Coffee, famed New York-based Shake Shack and the American debut of Moxie’s Grill & Bar, plus the newly redefined presence of Stanley Korshak, bringing in more new restaurants and introducing an art gallery representing museum-quality artists creates a perfect balance with the other dynamic changes and new vibrancy at The Crescent …”

Opening just a month ago, the Bivins Gallery, owned by Karen and Michael Bivins, is located just across from the Hotel Crescent Court. East Hampton Sandwich Co. is targeting an early summer opening.

Sixty Vines, with a location in Plano, plans to open in the fall. “We love the idea of bringing an exciting concept like Sixty Vines from Plano to Uptown,” Randy DeWitt, CEO of Sixty Vines owner Front Burner Restaurants, said in a statement. “We also think a vibrant, mixed-use complex like The Crescent is the perfect venue for our second location. We can’t wait to introduce our innovative concept to diners and wine lovers who live and work in the city.”

Tony Click, vice president of leasing for Crescent Real Estate Equities LLC, represented The Crescent in all three lease transactions and was assisted by Jack Gosnell of CBRE in the East Hampton Sandwich Co. deal. Mark Masinter and Wally Davis of Open Realty worked on behalf of Front Burner Restaurants in the Sixty Vines lease deal. Matt McClain with McClain Family Ventures represented Hampton Sandwich Co. and Bivins Gallery was represented by Jack Gosnell.
